Discovered in 1930, Pluto was reclassified by astronomers as a dwarf planet in 2006. The reclassification did not change its use in astrology; astrology works with celestial bodies according to their traditional weight of meaning, not their mass.
What it describes is irreversible transformation. Where Pluto touches, something ends and something else is built in its place; there is no middle way. Power, control, obsession, and what is hidden or repressed belong to this area too.
Its orbit is highly elliptical, so the time it spends in each sign is uneven: twelve years in Scorpio, thirty-one in Taurus. That is why its generational influence is irregular.
