Give love and time to whatever you're growing. Abundance and creativity.
The Empress upright
Give love and time to whatever you're growing. Abundance and creativity. The 22 Major Arcana cards describe thresholds rather than everyday choices. When one turns up, the question usually belongs to a bigger cycle in your life.
The Empress reversed
Caring for others until you're drained; creativity that has stalled.
A reversed card is not automatically bad news. It can mean the upright meaning is weaker, turned inward, or flipped; the cards around it tell you which.
In love and relationships
A nourishing bond that helps both of you grow. Physical closeness and bodily comfort take the lead.
Work and money
What you've created is bearing fruit. Time to collect on work you've grown with patience.
Advice
To stay fertile you may need to stop producing for a while. Even good soil is left fallow.
Is The Empress yes or no?
Yes. It looks kindly on things that grow and multiply. Strong for matters that need effort and time; if you want a quick result, the answer is "yes, but slower than you'd like."
Astrological correspondence
In the Golden Dawn system, which the Rider-Waite-Smith deck was drawn within, The Empress corresponds to Venus.
