A shaky structure collapses and the truth comes out. Sudden change.
The Tower upright
A shaky structure collapses and the truth comes out. Sudden change. The 22 Major Arcana cards describe thresholds rather than everyday choices. When one turns up, the question usually belongs to a bigger cycle in your life.
The Tower reversed
Avoiding the collapse; putting it off out of fear.
A reversed card is not automatically bad news. It can mean the upright meaning is weaker, turned inward, or flipped; the cards around it tell you which.
In love and relationships
A sudden break. What falls apart may not be the relationship but an illusion about it.
Work and money
A structure you thought was solid comes down. Painful, but it brings the truth into the open.
Advice
Fighting the shake-up makes the damage bigger. Whatever is meant to stay standing will stay standing.
Is The Tower yes or no?
No. A sudden no: the thing you're asking about is already shaking, and the card says the collapse can't be avoided. The upside is that it shows what falls was never solid to begin with.
Astrological correspondence
In the Golden Dawn system, which the Rider-Waite-Smith deck was drawn within, The Tower corresponds to Mars.
