Honor one cycle and move on to the next. Success and wholeness.
The World upright
Honor one cycle and move on to the next. Success and wholeness. The 22 Major Arcana cards describe thresholds rather than everyday choices. When one turns up, the question usually belongs to a bigger cycle in your life.
The World reversed
Loose ends; a cycle that won't close.
A reversed card is not automatically bad news. It can mean the upright meaning is weaker, turned inward, or flipped; the cards around it tell you which.
In love and relationships
Completion and wholeness. A chapter closing with grace.
Work and money
Reaching the goal. Something you've worked on for a long time finally comes through.
Advice
Don't start the next thing before you celebrate what you've finished. A cycle left open spoils the new beginning.
Is The World yes or no?
Yes. A completed yes. It shows the cycle has closed and the result is in; if you're asking about something brand new and uncertain, the answer won't be this clear.
Astrological correspondence
In the Golden Dawn system, which the Rider-Waite-Smith deck was drawn within, The World corresponds to Saturn.
